Good paint, solid delivery

I ordered some Dulux Wash & Wear in a low sheen finish for my living room. The website was pretty straightforward, found the color I wanted easily. Took about 6 days for the paint to arrive in Phoenix. It was well-packaged, no spills or anything. The paint itself went on smoothly, good coverage. I had a quick question about drying times and used their online chat; the rep was helpful and knew their stuff. Overall, a good experience from ordering to finished walls.

Decent purchase, few hiccups

I bought a couple of Dulux sample pots and some masking tape. The ordering process was simple enough. Delivery took a little longer than expected, almost a week and a half to reach me in rural Montana, which was a bit annoying. The sample pots were fine, good way to test colors. The masking tape was just basic stuff, no complaints there. Customer service was okay when I inquired about the delivery delay, but they didn't really offer a solution, just said it was in transit. Value for money was decent, especially for the sample pots. I'd probably order again for specific colors.

My walls look amazing!

I just painted my bedroom with Dulux Simply Refresh and I LOVE it! The color is perfect, exactly what I saw online. It was so easy to apply, totally transformed the room. I'm already planning my next project. Will definitely buy more paint from them!

Painting a new plaster wall. What primer should I use?

P PriyaSingh 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Precision Primer. It's worth the extra for a new wall.

Does it really make a difference?

R RajeshwariDevi 1 week ago
Yes, gives you a much better finish.

Undercoat is usually good enough for new plaster too if you're on a budget.

P PriyaSingh 1 week ago
I'd still go with Precision Primer for new surfaces.

Need exterior paint that actually lasts. Weathershield or something else?

M MeeraShah 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Weathershield, no question. It's the standard for a reason. Had mine for years, still looks fresh.

A AmitJoshi 4 weeks ago
How long does it typically last?
4
V VikramReddy 4 weeks ago
Mine lasted like 10 years before I even thought about redoing it.

Professional Exterior is good too if you can find it. Might be overkill for a house though.

A AmitJoshi 4 weeks ago
Hmm, probably sticking to Weathershield then.

You could use Wash & Wear in the kitchen too, some people prefer it.

Definitely Wash & Wear. It's built for that kind of abuse.

Easycare is also pretty good, maybe a bit cheaper if budget is tight.

Looking for a really dark, almost black, interior paint. Matt finish.

A ArjunKapoor 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Just get any color mixed in Matt Finish. Dulux can mix almost anything. Wash & Wear Matt would be good.
11
S SunitaRao 1 week ago
Yeah, their custom mixing is spot on.

K KiranSharma 1 week ago
Have you considered Design Effects? They have some cool dark textures or metallic looks.

Ooh, metallic sounds interesting!

Need to paint some old metal railings. What's best for rust protection?

S SmitaMehta 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Metalshield. It's specifically for metal and rust. Get the primer too.

P PoojaSingh 1 week ago
Definitely prep properly first!

R RakeshKumar 1 week ago
Yep, various colours and finishes.

G GirishPatel 1 week ago
Does it come in different finishes?

V VikasSharma 1 week ago
You could use Enamel Paint over a good metal primer if you can't find Metalshield easily.
1
G GirishPatel 1 week ago
Metalshield sounds like the safer bet.

You could also look at some of the Weathershield colours if you want something a bit more vibrant and long-lasting.

Good point, maybe worth the extra cost.
